CaddieChat: The Hard Way (unfinished rough cut)
Our first go at the CaddieChat ad. We generated every still and shot separately in Abacus.AI and stitched them together by hand with Claude, with Richard recording the golfer’s lines. It worked, but it took most of a day and night of back-and-forth, and we never finished it.
What we learned
- We asked Abacus.AI for one still or 5-second shot at a time, checked each one, then had Claude cut them together and add captions and Richard’s voice.
- It worked, but it was slow: dozens of messages between two AI tools, re-renders when a golf course came out looking like a farm paddock, and a second ball that appeared out of nowhere on the green.
- Most of a day and night later, we had a rough cut and a long list of fixes still to do.
